12/13/98: A day of bridging boundaries: getting past language, culture, tradition, race, and iron bars… We went to church with Sean and Jan at an Indonesian church… It always encourages me to experience Christian worship in languages and cultures different than my own… This afternoon we joined them on their regular visit to a women’s prison where they conduct a chapel service… Ruth was asked to preach a devotional and share her testimony of faith. It brought me to tears, and many others told her that they were moved deeply as well…
