10/22/98: Travel day, heading back to Hong Kong… Traveling through mainland China was challenging, but not as much as we expected… Tourism is ramping up rapidly in China, and I heard one fellow remark that the “Banana Pancake Trail” is making inroads from South and South East Asia… Our bus was on time, our train was on time, and this time we had a four-person compartment all to ourselves…
