10/11/98: I stayed in bed with a cold, while Ruth went out to get train tickets onward… On her way over one of the bridges that spans a canal she noticed a dead body floating down the river just about the same time that the outdoor ballroom dance class noticed it too. She said the oddest part of the whole experience, is that such a surreal experience din not even faze her a little… I guess we have seen a thing or two on this trip…
NOTE: The photo above shows another strange sight from Chengdu: a catering delivery, apparently by the chefs themselves, who are definitely on a bicycle.
