11/26/98: Caught the shuttle to airport… Made the flight… Very crowded and turbulent flight… Arrived safely in Denpasar, Indonesia… Found a cheap hotel near Kuta Beach and managed to catch a beautiful sunset… It was kinda spoiled by a very nasty email I received from a missionary that I had done work for back in Nepal several weeks ago… Apparently he only just developed the film and little or none of the photography is useable… Not being there to see the film I have no idea what happened, but he angrily accused me of sabotaging the film and lying to him about my professional experience as a graphic designer… Having my integrity questioned hurts and is disorienting… It reminds me of a poem I read somewhere once, though I can’t recall where or who: “Words hit hard as a fist…”
