10/30/98: We rose early went directly to the train station and obtained tickets northward on our own without a problem… So much for tourist ticketing agents… When Ruth was here four years ago, the one thing that she didn’t get to see while in Bangkok was the National Gallery. So, we made sure to fit that in this afternoon, and it was well worth it… We caught the train on time. No closed sleeping compartments, but generous amounts of space…
