9/4/98: A photo shoot at Institute of Medicine fell through… Vanessa invited us to a birthday celebration in town… Strolled around the shores of Phewa Lake for a bit, enjoying lovely views of the Annapurnas… Interesting conversation with Dave H., from the U.K., about pub culture in Europe and whether it’s ok for Christians to drink alcohol… We all had a laugh when one woman absent-mindedly made a request of the DJ in the restaurant that she play some music by the band ABBA, to which she replied: “This IS ABBA…”
