Very Very Small Antelope

Posted on June 11, 2023

6/11/98: Got precious little sleep due to the constant starts and stops of the train. It was rather cold as well…

NOTE: The photo above is a Bush Duiker that we saw on our afternoon visit to Chipangali Wildlife Sanctuary.

6/11/23: We arrived safely in Bulawayo and were picked up by Sylvia H. again. She made us feel right at home in their guest bedroom and ran off to her volunteer work reading to patients in a long-term infirmary. Arthur came home and we had a splendid lunch with him. Then Sylvia came home and whisked us away to  Chipangali Wildlife Sanctuary. Got to see the Lions and Leopards feeding, and a truly great aviary full of eagles and other birds of prey. We also came across a Bush Duiker, a species of very very small antelope that weigh 6-8 pounds and are under 2 feet tall. The day ended with a very nice home-cooked meal with Sylvia and Arthur.
