Twenty-five years ago, on March 24, 1998, Ruth and I departed Chicago for a year-long, round-the-world trip to work on a series of short-term projects for relief agencies and missionary organizations around the world. We documented the entire trip in one of the very earliest travel blogs on the internet, which was called “Dr. Livingstone, I presume?”
So, beginning on March 24, 2023, I’ll begin to make daily posts that will include at least one photo from the trip, along with snippets from the original travel blog as well as current reflections on topics and themes that occur to me as I look back.
